Bought a vehicle

Hi again
It's June 8th here, about 1800.
Bought a vehicle a couple of days ago 2006 KIA Carnival. The Aussies call it a people mover, has 8 seats  and a lot of room. Getting it modified to suit my needs: Getting the back 2 rows seats removed, Special tires installed on the front, (front wheel drive), some shelves, trailer hitch and a second battery and invertor installed.  And some other small things to life more durable.
Been bumming around here in Sydney for about a week now. Spent all day yesterday in the Australian Museum. A particularly good mineral collection but I think I have a better meteor collection in my back yard.
Toured the Sydney Opera house wish Linda was here, an opera fan she would have enjoyed this much more than I.
Weather  has been tough around here lately. The rains seem to have disappeared but the wind is still here. Got my all day boat tour of Sydney harbor cancelled today because of the wind.
Sydney is a big town, about 6 million people. Been interesting learning how to drive from the right side of car. I'm gauging my success on how many horn honks I get in a day. Lost count the first day, but they have been decreasing. Only got four today.
Anxious to get going. KIA should be done Saturday. I'll be heading for Cairns and a glass bottom boat to see the Great Barrier Reef. With stops on the way.
